The new year is here! Khmer New Year, that is. The city empties as almost everyone goes to their home town for a week to visit and escape the heat (the official holiday was three days, April 14th-16th). It is their belief that the old “angel” is replaced by a new “angel” and so to insure that you have a good new year, you must set up a table with lots of good food as an offering to the new angel. This is one of the many manifestations of fear that is inherit in a folk Buddhist culture.

Nathan and Christiana moved to Cambodia in January 2010. They are working in discipleship, resource development and training. Nathan is a graduate of the Master's Seminary and hopes to use what the Lord has graciously entrusted to him to train up men to have a high view of God and His Word.
