This is truly a praiseworthy event that we hope will be the first of many to come because Easter is not typically celebrated nor understood in Cambodia, even among the Christians. In Cambodia, not unlike the rest of the world, we love to celebrate the birth of Christ and get caught up in the hoopla that surrounds the worldly meaning of Christmas. However, Easter isn’t a holiday that generally practices gift giving and thereby tends to be misunderstood and under celebrated. It is however, the most important holiday we as Christians celebrate…the death and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ; the celebration of the greatest gift of all…our salvation provided by the Perfect Lamb of God! Therefore, with the proclamation of the Word and the praise and worship of the Resurrected King Jesus, and the sweet fellowship it provided causes our hearts to rejoice in Him who is faithful to magnify His name among the nations!
Thank you for your partnership in this gospel ministry that allows us to be witnesses of His grace and light in this dark place. May you have a blessed Easter as you celebrate His resurrection!
To God be the glory,
BJ and Andrea Lopez
