Lopez Cambodian Update

Attention: open in a new window. PrintE-mail

We just spent the last nine days at Asian Hope, a home consisting of 29 Cambodian children from the ages of 7 to 20 years old. They come from provinces all over Cambodia and each have incredible stories and testimonies of how God has intervened in their lives especially over the last seven years (www.asianhope.org). We, Andrea and all six of our children, had an exciting and full week and a half of getting to know the kids a little better.

We thank God for the ability and the strength He supplied in order for us to serve Him in this unique way. We were blessedbeyond measure! We are currently partnering with this organization to meet the needs of these trophies of Christ. There are many ministry opportunities in this arena, are you looking for a way to pour out your heart in service and worship to the Lord, for His glory? Contact us if you are interested in serving in this way. Please pray the Lord would raise up a multitude of workers to labor among His fields.

Visa update

The Ministry of Social Affairs is still holding out and requiring a substantial ‘fee’ for their stamp of approval, literally, to travel with the children in our care. Our current plan is to move ahead and go directly to the American embassy without the requested approval from the Ministry of Social Affairs. We are at peace as we wait and pursue His will in this situation. We know He is in control of it all and trust that His will will be done and we praise Him for the grace He has given us to watch His divine plan unfold in His timing.

Update on Wa
Wa

Wa has developed a bone infection in his leg and his immune system continues to get weaker and weaker. He has found a home for two of his four children and is seeking a place for his three year old son and twelve year old daughter. Please pray that the Lord of the Harvest would raise up a family that would show them the love and compassion of Christ. Please continue to pray for Wa as his faith is new and in the providence of God, he is experiencing great trials as his life on earth is nearing its end. Pray that he would know the Lord’s presence and peace in the midst of preparing his children for his death. Please pray for our family as we minister to Wa and his family in the midst of all of this, that we would live for and do the will of God.

Blessings on you!

To God be the Glory,

BJ and Andrea Lopez
