These last months, BJ and I have been teaching through the Gospel of Mark. I have always enjoyed this particular Book, perhaps because it is hard hitting, concise and action packed! In Mark 6, we find Jesus sending out the twelve disciples on a short term missions trip….which should be easy to preach for any missionary! Their mandate was clear, their methods were detailed out by Christ and they were deployed for the task (Mark 6:7-13). Among other things, I was struck by the harmony with which Jesus combines the emphasis of proclaimed truth and accompanying works. | < Prev | Next > |
