Qualifications:

*Establish ongoing mentoring relationships with Cambodian leaders

Pastor Trainer (2)
Qualifications:
*Experience in Bible teaching, preaching, counseling and leadership
*Pastoral experience
Job requirements:
*Cultivate relationships with Cambodian churches and pastors
*Formal pastor training: preaching and teaching skills, Bible
*Informal pastor training: mentorship

Children’s Ministries

Children in Crisis (8):

8 workers needed to fulfill a combination of the following jobs
Qualifications for all:
*Love for and experience in working with children in the specific job area
*Solid Bible skills
*Creative, responsible, faithful
*Strong sense of commitment; ready to persevere through adversity

Trainer of Children’s Workers:
*Knowledgeable about children’s ministry, their needs, their strengths
*Cultivate relationships with BC leaders; come alongside them to train, help out
*Act as advocate for additional supplies, Bibles, support money: submit monthly reports, to AC and to supporters, recruit new supporters
*Provide training/Bible teaching for leaders, work with leaders to plan lessons

Crisis Nursery Aid:
*Consistent visits, relationships with caregivers
*Stimulation and teaching of the children (ages 2-5)
*Development and documentation of a program which could be carried out by others
*Evaluation and communication of how ACTION can help further through individual supporters and teams.
*Effective use of short-term teams (supplies requests, advance planning, coaching and prep, accompanying teams)


Sports Evangelist:
*Organize and run sports events to use as an evangelistic/Bible teaching forum
*Liaison with EFC (Evangelical Fellowship of Cambodia)
*Publicize for supporters, recruit new support
*Utilize short-term teams


Street Child Worker
*Become knowledgeable about current Cambodian programs for street children
*Work with viable Christian organizations to gain training and experience
*Attend OVC, HIV/AIDS, and/or Counseling training courses
*Create an ACTION program for caring for street children
*Liaison with ACTION orphanage ministry partners for placement of street children
*Deliver training to children removed from the streets in life skills


Orphanage Worker
*Develop relationships with orphans and orphanage caregivers
*Help out in whatever way is requested: babysitting, cooking, teaching, Bible study leading, driving, vegetable gardening, etc.
*Communicate with present and potential supporters regarding the orphans and orphanage needs

ESL Teachers, Reading Teacher
*Liaison with churches, community schools, street children centers, and orphanages to provide training in English and/or reading for the children of those schools
*Provide adult education in ESL and/or reading skills
*Research biblical ESL and reading materials; solicit support to provide these materials to schools


Basic Education Teacher
Must have formal teaching experience
*Liaison with Christian private schools to provide teaching assistance, substitute services, mentoring of teachers
*Work with headmasters to evaluate and strengthen teaching program

Discipleship and Evangelism:

Church Planter (2)Qualifications:
*Gifting in evangelism and/or pastor/teaching
*Experience in discipling, mentoring
*Good Bible knowledge
*A people-person
Job description:
*Become knowledgeable about church viability and church-planting activities in Cambodia and the country in general
*Target areas of the urban poor, where few or no viable evangelical, doctrinally-sound churches are to be found
*Come alongside existing churches with a vision for planting new churches to strengthen them; preach, teach, provide training in leadership
*Work with existing churches to plant new churches
*Help raise start-up funds for new buildings, etc.
*Work with new church plant to establish leadership, viability before moving to another work


Urban Missionary (4)
Qualifications:
*Experience in teaching, discipling, evangelism, or outreach
*Heart for evangelism, good grasp of the gospel
*Heart for the poor
*Wise and discerning
Job description:
*Go to those places most won’t go, form relationships with the unlovely
*Evangelize through those relationships
*Access physical aid for the needy (become knowledgeable about biblical mandates as well as programs and aid available)
*Research and possibly partner with present organizations in this ministry
*Lead one-to-one discipling and group Bible studies
*Coordinate evangelism teams (may train and deploy short-term teams)
Short Term Trainer/Coordinator (1) Qualifications: *Extensive experience with short term teams *Hands on experience in developing discipleship materials * Ability to interact with both Khmer and Expatriate staff *Demonstrate the ability to develop long term strategy for short term ministry *Commitment to see local church grown and workers raised up for the Harvest. Job Description: Develop a Biblical Theology for short term missions that would be developed into a philosophy of ministry specifically for the purpose of developing a short term model for ministry here in Cambodia. The scope of the ministry should take into consideration the needs of the Khmer church and those participants. The position would require recruiting, training, budgeting and implementation of all ministries related ministries that involved short term teams with Action Cambodia.

Vocational Trainer (1)
Qualifications:
*Experience in manual skills appropriate to Cambodia (woodworking, metalwork, sewing, carpentry/building, masonry, plumbing, auto mechanics)
*Experience in teaching skills and project management
*Discipling experience, or good with people and good Bible knowledge
Job description:
*Set up and run a vocational training facility and program
*Develop personal relationship/mentoring/discipleship with students
*Teach skills and biblical work ethic
*Teach or arrange to have taught marketing and business basics; help students to become self-sufficient


Micro-Enterprise Project Manager (1)
Qualifications:
*Experience in micro-loan management and group savings plans
*Experience in small business
*A heart for the poor and discernment
Job description:
*Become knowledgeable about current micro-loan & group savings ministries in Cambodia
*Work with or learn from viable Christian organizations to gain insight into Cambodian needs
*Form an implementation plan for the micro-loan and group savings projects, solicit start-up funds
*Extend services to ACTION partner organizations; evaluate small business opportunities, and individuals/families wanting to form a business
*Train micro-loan recipients in business basics
*Make loans, track businesses, provide follow up training and advice
*Maintain records and statistics

Healthcare Ministry


Clinical Officer (1)
Qualifications:
*Medical degree (MD or BSN)
*Experience running a medical facility and/or medical shift officer
*Willingness to work with people who are high-risk for HIV/AIDS
Job Description:
*May be seconded to existing ministry to partner in initial ministry in order to start a church based ministry model for reaching those affected by illness
*Solicit funding from donors (build donor base)
*Train personnel (initial and continuing education)
*Provide Bible training and accountability for staff


HIV/AIDS Worker (2)
Qualifications:
*Medical degree (MD, BSN or relevant medical background)
*Willingness to work with people who are high-risk for HIV/AIDS
*Become knowledgeable about current Cambodian programs for HIV/AIDS education and treatment
*Work with viable Christian organizations to gain training and experience; form partnership if appropriate
*Attend HIV/AIDS and/or Counseling training courses
*Train and deploy short term teams for HIV/AIDS education and care
* Teach HIV/AIDS awareness programs in churches, schools, and communities

Special Projects Coordinator (1)
Qualifications:
*Organized, practical, faithful, a “finisher” of projects
*Makes people-connections well, able to coordinate people and projects

Job description:
*Emergency food distribution: coordination with recipients, purchase and delivery, funds solicitation, reports to donors
*Develop and coordinate a church based child sponsorship program
*Clothing distribution: solicitation and management of funds, requests of teams and visitors, planning and management of distribution of clothing
*Donor designated gifts: working with donors regarding opportunities for specific gifts (school missions projects, individual financial gifts, etc.), seeing that funds are spent as requested, reporting to donors as completed/sending pictures


Administrative Assistant (1)
Qualifications:
*Excellent office skills (computer, phone, planning and organizing)
*Flexible, diligent, conscientious
*Able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
*Positive, helpful, cheerful disposition
Job Description
*Maintain records for AC office
*Prepare and submit reports

Discipleship Intensive
We are looking for a select group of individuals that are interested in giving themselves to spiritual formation, discipleship and cross cultural ministry. This is an integrated discipleship model which will be tailored to each individual. You will be placed with a field missionary for one to one discipleship in the above mentioned areas. Minimum commitment is 1 year.
